Double Page Spread House Styles
Here there are 3 examples of Q Magazine double pages spreads. Firstly, the most noticeable feature is the large drop caps to match the first letter of the article and smaller drop caps for the rest of the paragraph beginnings, this is a unique and iconic feature of Q Magazine double page spreads. Another thing we notice is the layout of the page, this showing the image on one side of the page and the other side showing the article this is conventional of a Q Magazine but not unique to he magazine. Finally, we see the, much like the NME contents and other pages, the us of the logo at the bottom of the pages, this is used in many other magazines to make their logo recognizable.

Contents Page House Styles
In the following NME contents pages of all three example magazines we see that a main image is used, this is most likely to be the main story/article in the magazine. We also see a consistent use of bold black text underneath these images with a red page number, this is to make the story and number stand out to the reader as we see the rest of the page uses fairly small fonts and black writing. We also see the NME logo in the corner of each of the contents pages, this is used to show the iconic logo as mush as the magazine can, I will also use my IME logo in the same. Another thing similar used in the contents pages is the band index on the left hand side of the page, this is conventional of NME magazines, this shows all the bands that will be feature withing the magazines, all of these things are conventional/the house style of an NME contents page.
