Basics of Photoshop

Tools I Used:

I used the lasso tool to crop out the original pictures background, after this I used the I used the polygonal lasso to tidy up rough edges of the model's hair as it did not blend well with the orange background. I used the bucket tool to make my background a similar colour to the model's shirt.

I used the text tool (T) to create my msthead nd sell lines, I then used the select tool to move my texts round and fit them to wear I want them to be. The font I used for my masthead was Wide Latin. The font i used for my sell lines was Verdana. The colour of my writing are contrasting colours, I did this as I though it would be effective.

To get my plug I used the ellipse tool to create the blue circle and I then created a text box in the circle to add what is included in my plug.

I got my bar code image and scaled it down to size.

I later decided to to move my masthead to the left side of my front cover and move the plug to right side and move it slightly off the page, to fit conventions. Also making my masthead smaller reduced the amount that my sell lines covered my image.

I also decide to add a drop shadow to the image to make it look less photoshopped and to make it look more natural.

The last thing I changed was rotating and scaling my bar code to make it look more realistic.
